I am having problems uploading posts. This is a test and if all goes well I will return and add some text. Bear with me while I work out the hiccups.
Okay here goes...
The Falls were spectacular and reminded me of the Snowqualmie Falls outside of Seattle. I chose the easier route to the viewpoint while the Brettschneiders hiked or rather ran the 8 km trail to the top of the Falls. The mosquitoes were so bad they did not linger for long. I think I got the better deal 😊
Dinner at the lodge was interrupted by some stormy weather followed by this vivid rainbow
...by the time I figured out how to do a panorama with my camera it was over... you could see both ends so clearly
The family struck off on another hike and I chose to hang out with my new pals
....this one was in a very playful mood...
Sibylle’s pic of Ilka and I having a light breakfast after a very sleepless night combatting the mosquitoes.OMG! They really really liked us.
One can never get lost with 2 GPS in the car 😉
....and the song...Hatful of Rain...
Evidence of the awful forest fire in the area last summer. Several homes were evacuated and some were lost. So sad.
Nimpo Lake...so perfect..except the mosquitoes that greeted us there. This lodge was super in providing each cabin with bug coils. We lit a few and we hovered around. Let them burn inside while we had dinner. Worked like a charm.
First thing we did before dinner was go for a paddle....and the fish...oh my...jumping all around us. I so wanted to catch them!
This is the lodge from the lakeside...Stewart’s Lodge...
Dinner in the lodge
What does one do when the chef quits? You whip up a full on turkey dinner with all the trimmings...the best!
....and then an evening tour...
Ilka’s pics...
....and then there was the breakfast
....the view from the dining room
....bye Nimpo Lake...we'll be back 😘
