Mushroom Festival

It is the season of Festivals where they celebrate the harvests. In Shuzenji it is all about shiitake mushrooms . It was held at the Niji-no-Sato Park (Rainbow Village) where they have a replica of Nelson. Izu city Association for friendship relations had a booth and served Oso Negro coffee. We stopped by and helped as much as we were able. There was a quiz about Canada and if you got the answers (with coaching from us) they received an art card and pin from Nelson. Nelson's Izu-Shi Friendship president, John Armstrong was there too! We recognized several faces that have come to Nelson on this exchange.
