Symphony on the Mountain

What a spectacular event!

Remember the tree that fell on the truck? Well we had to change our plans for camping in Kimberley and opted to stay at the Timber Creek Lodge, which is located at the base of the ski hill where the concert was. This was a good thing as it made it so convenient in many ways. And what a beautiful place!

Sleeping beauty

While Brent was at his rehearsal...

I wandered around the downtown...

Marie, this is for you!

I was so shocked at how quiet the streets were!

So I headed back to the lodge and decided to work on my camera skills. We all know how badly out of focus I am...lol..

Hanging around before the next rehearsal

Not so sure about riding this baby....

Here they are going up the mountain for the dress rehearsal

Break a leg babe!

...yep, really not sure about this...

I went for a nice walk around the lodge while the dress rehearsal was happening

If you look very closely you might see the deer....they were everywhere and very friendly

The run on the right is the chairlift everyone is going up on....

This was the rehearsal hall and backup venue if the weather were to change

Still trying to work up my courage

....and I'm thinking that this could be my "out"

There was a wedding at the top too!

Robin was supposed to play the tuba on his way down!

...wonder what his excuse was?! :-)

Ok Tim, I will look worse than this if I were to come down on the lift...

Guess who!

...ok I'm not going to do this...I just might be a little afraid of heights

Darn...that focussing thing again ... He looks so handsome in his $7.88 jacket!

They look like they are on cloud nine :-)

Tie is looking a little crooked honey...did you lose a page perhaps?! Tee hee..

As the crowds descent on the chairlift, the Kootenay Brass Quintet played...

....and the skies began to darken

...and the cleanup began

What a magical evening on top of the mountain...and no I did not ride the chairlift!

These were taken by our good friend Keith Todd
