Longest Day

It is again with tears that we said our goodbyes with Ilka and her family and neighbors as we headed off for one last visit with the Sauer’s...we are so very thankful to have all our girls in our hearts and their families too. We were welcomed into their homes with open arms and showed the best of their country and fed wonderful meals and oh...can’t forget the beer...and the wine...

We are very proud of the accomplishments that each and everyone of “our” girls have achieved so far. Don’t give up on your dreams and let’s meet again soon 💖🥰

At the airport eating our last sausages and pretzels for brunch...again...no beer...

...sad to be leaving...

Arrived in Calgary after  9 1/2 long hours and no sleep. We go through customs to find that we shouldn’t have bought that last package of pepperoni sausage in Frankfurt...darn...oh well. Caught our connection to Kelowna and finally arrived at our hotel hungry and very tired. Had a light supper and our heads hit the pillow by 7:30 pm our time...we had been awake for 20 hrs by then. Awoke at 1:00 am ready to go! Lol...

After a bit of shopping we hit the road and we’re home by 3:30...we drove through rain, sun, rain, snow, sun and then more rain! Typical April weather but happy to see there is no snow in our yard yahoo! The speed limit was no where near what was driven in Germany! The fastest was 100 km. At one point we laughed as the speed limit was posted at 50 km...and the construction sign said slow to 70 km...and then there was a resume speed sign shortly before a posted 50 km sign in an already 50 km speed zone. Confused yet? We certainly were!

So now are puttering around and having many naps and not really knowing where to start and going through our pictures....remembering all the wonderful adventures we just had in a very short couple of weeks,

A very very big thank you to all our families and friends for taking the time in your busy schedules to make us feel so welcome

Our hearts are full
Mona & Brent
💖💕😍😘
