Happy Halloween! 🎃

Ilka wore part of her costume to school today. She was going to do the rest after school. This is so cool 😎 

 Yuna had Volleyball and the teacher told them that they couldn’t dress up. 🙁

After school they gathered with some other students and went out trick or treating. For those of you that are not familiar...you get to dress up in costume and go door to door yelling “trick or treat” and they give you candy. Some people love to decorate their homes too and try and scare the kids.

Yuna's face was incredible!

I made up some tasty treats for when they get home. It's pretty cold and rainy out there.

Cottonwood Lake

It was another beautiful day....feels like the calm before the storm!

We went for a drive and checked out Cottonwood Lake. It is a very pretty little spot and popular for ice fishing and skating in the winter.

Afterwards we drove up to Whitewater to see how much snow there is. Definitely not enough to go skiing yet 😉

Ilka and I had a really good talk about different foods and one that she really like is Donairs....so I thought, why not? Brent really likes them too! Pinterest and I had a lovely visit and  I found instructions on how to make this. It really is not that hard. The hardest part was to find ground lamb.

Our Sunday night dinner was soooo good 😘

In the meantime Yuna stayed home to catch up on homework...because they won! Way to go Bombers!

Happy Sweet Sixteen Ilka!

Look who's sixteen today!

She started the day talking to her family and friends for a couple of hours and then we sat down to blueberry pancakes and bacon...

Ilka and I went exploring and took some amazing pictures of the fall colors just so Yuna could decorate the cake 😉

She did an amazing job...thanks Yuna!

Bonfire

I forgot all about these pics taken with the IPad so the quality is not that great but it as a lot of fun. We have a new bonfire ring and Brent set it up inside the garden. We will rearrange it in the spring as it’s not quite right yet!
