Seattle May Long Weekend 2017

Yuna and I planned to spend the May long weekend with one of my dearest friends in Seattle. She and her husband actually live on Mercer Island in a beautiful home with a view of Seattle. Yuna invited one of her classmates, Manami to join us. Brent stayed home as he had to work.

We decided to listen to the audio version of  "To Kill a Mockingbird" in the car as both girls are reading it for English and they had homework to do. Funny thing was while I was thoroughly enjoying the book, both girls fell asleep!

Oh well the weather was awesome... no rain...no snow... all was well.

Our first day started off at Pikes Market

I took this shot noticing only the American flag. Boy was I pleasantly surprised to see the Canadian flag too!

We then went to this amazing chocolate place and had hot chocolate and the girls had theirs cold. Then there was the mall....we made it back to the house in time for the girls to go to a baseball game with Mark at the Safeco field. Apparently one can buy grasshoppers to eat there...eww...it was a very full day.

On Sunday we decided to pack a picnic and we headed to a beach about 1 1/2 hrs away.
