We left Nelson on Tues, Dec 22. Driving in the winter is such an adventure. One never knows what to encounter, every year is different. This year the roads were really good and the sun came out to play making the drive very pretty. The weather seemed to change after driving every 15 mins!
These shots are taken after driving 45 min from Nelson. The pass is called the Blueberry Paulson and can be quite treacherous. The first shot is at the summit.
Look how fast the mountains have changed. Taken at Midway. Aprox 2 hrs from home.
Here we are 15 min later and above the clouds...beautiful...
Someone dressed up Mr. Sasquatch!
Then 15 min later we dropped below the clouds and this is what it looked like!
We spent the night in Penticton where my grandson, Dominic lives. This weeping willow tree is outside of our hotel room.
...and meet Dominic! He's so awesome!
We got up early and back on the road again...Someone is peaking over the mountain...
This is the skyline coming into Vancouver
We boarded the ferry for Victoria
...a bit cold and rainy
