We stayed at a vacation rental that is owned by friends, John and Rosemary.
We lucked out and had perfect weather. Our first day we went for a hike on the Wild Pacific Trail.

Brent's brother and sister-in-law joined us in Ucluelet
...and Bruce and Antonia became fast friends!
Next day we explored Chesterman Beach
...there was a lot of this going on :-)
...and Tofino...
....and Longbeach..
...and the ultimate challenge was who could stay in the water the longest!
....back at the house...hot tub time!
We were sad to leave but on to the next leg of our adventure
