Life in our Kitchen

It seems we spend a lot of time in the kitchen. I can't believe what good cooks these girls are!

When I was their age, my idea of spaghetti was a jar of stewed tomatoes poured over the pasta (yuck!) I have come a long ways in the past 15 years (wink)

Emily is from Austria and came over for some studying and then the girls made dinner....Schnitzel!

It is not a good idea to have too many cooks in the kitchen...."make it thinner!...no! not too thin!" Lol...and one can't touch the meat....ewwww..."but it must be thinner"... I never laughed so hard!

Dinner was scrumptious in the end...and not too thin!

Antonia and I baked so many cookies this past week, I forgot to take pics. We made triple choc chip, Three Ginger and fruit explosion cookies....and then we made cinnamon buns! Every Friday is treat day for the staff at LVR and it was Brent and my turn. Staff loved it all! I am so glad after all that baking!

Thanks Antonia for all your help....and Brent and Momoka for cleaning up!

We bought a new toy today....a Raclette party grill...so here we are trying it out. So many ideas came to mind....including German, Japanese and Korean dishes.

Antonia and her friend from school hiked to the CBC tower 2 weekends ago.

The weather sure has changed fast since.

Last week Brent flew to Vancouver for a meeting and the return flight was cancelled due to bad weather.

So Antonia and I jumped in the car and drove to Kelowna to pick him up. I am so grateful to my mechanic who dropped everything to put my winter tires on before we left.

Here the girls are skyping with Brent and poking his face with their fingers...

On the way to Kelowna....first snow of the season...
