It had always been an annual trip for me to Halcyon when my daughter, Vanessa lived in Revelstoke and we would meet up there. Coincidentally some people we knew from Kelowna would be there too, every time! Eventually the circle grew larger and it has become great fun to meet up with past and new acquaintances.
Mr. Frog was excited too!
Except when he was knocked over by Boots!
Momoka and I made sushi to take for our friends....
Mr. Frog called shotgun! (Calling shotgun means I sit up front!)
I also made chili and sourdough bread to take for our dinner. While the bread was baking, I thought I would practice focussing with the camera after my recent lesson from our professional photographer friend, Michael at Vogue Studio. It's the least he could do after talking Brent into buying me this totally awesome camera! Thanks Michael!
Our Magnolia tree is just starting to bloom....
We stop in Slocan to show Momoka the lake ... And duh, I forget to change the settings on the camera! So many things to remember! But the water is so clear, I still had to post the pics...
We left Slocan and stopped at the viewpoint. We never get tired of this view!
This is the view from the lobby at Halcyon
The view from our cabin...wow...
Momoka got a tour of Barb and Leo's camper...
...and discovered the hats that Barb was knitting (and selling)
Hiking along the lake shore...
She discovered how cold the water was! Lol..
...after the long hike...we enjoyed some appetizers and "champagne" from our favorite winery, St. Hubertus (Not Momoka though!)
Thank you Barb and Leo! We then headed for a soak in the hot springs...
Mr. Frog enjoying morning coffee on the deck...
Spying on our friends from Kelowna...
Mr. Frog saying goodbye...
We headed home and stopped for lunch in Kaslo
Mr. Frog had an eagle eye view...
If you ever get a chance, stop in at the Rosewood in Kaslo...yummy!
After that meal we end our day with a walk along the canal
Brent and Momoka ran back...
Next time we will walk this way...
