Spokane

We had a lazy morning as we talked about how many trains we heard during the night! OMG! Our hotel is right next to the train tracks...groan...so wouldn't it be fitting to eat breakfast on one?!

 

Who had the healthiest breakfast?

 

 

 

 

 

We then went wandering

 

 

 

 

 

 

....then we went shopping! Marie this is for you!!! Brent couldn't find the other shoe!

Then a frozen fruit freeze thingy....with whipping cream...yumm...

Although the record is still 10 hrs....the tradition of making Brent carry all the bags continue!

We only made it to 7 1/2 hrs...

There goes another train!

Don't stay up too late Mr. Frog....homework will get done soon...

Gearhart to Spokane

The day began with a wonderful breakfast...Mr. Frog carefully inspecting...

...yup windows open this time so no setting off the smoke detector!

...oh by the way this was part of dinner last night...4 pounds of clams!

 

We left our wonderful world in Gearhart around 9:30 a.m. The weather was terrible, the wind was howling, rain pelting down. We were not sorry to be on our way, except that the drive was dreadful :-(

We saw .... Hold on...wait....let me think...nothing! It was boring...it was 7 hrs of rain.... nothing more .... Then more rain....we stopped for gas in Someplace Boring, Oregon and even the gas attendant was trying to strike up a conversation because he was bored or boring...we needed to stop for a bathroom break...that was exciting because Brent saw an exit and it led us to ... nowhere...but we did find another place that made Tillimook cheese....or the sign said...but nowhere was there an invitation to come on in! At one point in time, Brent asked what is that noise....and I said, it's the GPS snoring...Momoka says, really?! Really...Driving along the Columbia River we did see a few Dams...however, since there are over 90 dams on the Columbia River system this is no surprise ...

We finally arrived at our hotel in Spokane at 5:30ish....after checking in we went for a long walk to stretch our legs and had an awesome dinner...turned in early...

Gearhart to Tillimook

This is the wonderful cottage that we are staying at in Gerhart

Totally recommend it to everyone! 1/2 block to downtown, which consists of a grocery store, fine dining restaurant, gallery & real estate office!

 

 

Brent cooked breakfast and set off the smoke detector cooking bacon!

 

 

 

....and the sun gods shone upon us....so we headed for the beach...Get ready for some beach pics...I'm not going to let you down!

 

 

 

Momoka thought a run was a good idea...

Brent and I checked out the clam diggers

 

 

Didn't want to take the sand dollar so I took a pic instead...

She's baaaack...

That was the beach at Gearhart...amazing...sigh...we'll be back for sure!

Next we headed to Cannon Beach...what are they doing?

Momoka was still hungry so we stopped again..

 

 

We then headed to the cheese factory! Another favorite!

....and they had ice cream....sigh...

I have never seen a house this small...ever...You could touch both walls at the same time!
