Last week of Summer

Well, I found a few more pics from Vancouver Island too!

There was a lot of smoke in the air from all the forest fires...

This was back in Nelson about 10:00 am

 

This lasted a whole week!

We picked up 200 lbs of tomatoes in the Okanagan and this is what we did with them!

We had a wicked rain, lightening and thunder storm today. We have never been so happy to see a storm. It lifted the smokey skies and for the first time this week we were able to go for a walk and not have problems with our breathing!

Sunday we went for a 3 1/2 hr hike along Cable Bay...

Monday we headed up Island to Courtenay ( where Brent's parents live) and explored a couple of little islands

We arrived in Courtenay and had dinner with the folks. After dinner we walked around the little airport behind our hotel which took about an hour.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tuesday we went for another hike...I swear they are trying to finish me off! This one was a 2 hour hike in Paradise Meadows on Mt Washington .
